"Ask Dr. Fehmi" Open Focus™ TeleSeminars
Open Focus™ exercises "re-wire" your brain, offering relief from anxiety, chronic pain, and byproducts of a chronically stressed nervous system. And many people find that Open Focus offers a solution to attentional challenges that have prevented them from performing at their best in daily life. You can learn to control your attention, taking a stand for yourself and your own health and well-being, by learning and practicing this elegantly simple technique.
Our 2013 TeleSeminars will meet at 1:00 PM EST on the First Wednesday of each month.
The May 1st teleseminar of “Ask Dr. Fehmi, “ will explore the topic of Releasing Grief with Open Focus™
To kick off the summer season, Les Fehmi, PhD and Susan Shor Fehmi, LCSW, are delighted to welcome Ann McIlraith to the June 5th tele-seminar. Join us at 1pm EST as Ann speaks to us from her T'ai Chi studio in Ireland. Ann will discuss her work as T'ai Chi instructor, a Reconnection healing practitioner and as a Certified Open Focus Trainer.
"The (Open Focus) exercises woke me up to a whole new way of being present," Ann wrote in her recent blog. "It spills over into everything I do from chatting with friends and family to practicing T'ai Chi and Reconnection." The Open Focus exercises started as a daily personal practice for Ann, "I find Open Focus to be not just a tool, but an embodiment." Convinced that her students would also benefit, Ann decided to share her love of Open Focus. After introducing Open Focus attention to a group of seniors, an elderly participant came to Ann deeply thanking her, "In my entire life I've never been this relaxed."
During her Reconnection healing treatments, Ann finds ways to integrate Open Focus. She believes a diffused, subjective attentional style helps to support a sense of presence towards her clients and contributes to the subtly of the healing session. Ann says that by being in Open Focus while working with clients, she is able to become more relaxed and present with her own feelings, which in turn, allows her to be fully aware while listening to other's experiences.
As a former high school physics teacher, local schools frequently call on Ann to help students with academic challenges. As an Open Focus™ Certified trainer, Ann guides the students into different attentional styles while they learn how to reduce their anxiety with diffuse attention .
Can't attend the live event? We send you the audio recordings within 48 hours of each TeleSeminar.
